The Catholic Church observes the norms of the Niceea Council, wchich was in 325, which is quite simple: the first fool moon Sunday after the spring equinox is the Easter Sunday. This is true both with the Julian and the Gregorian Calendars. The Orthodox Church observes the same rule, that is why it happens that sometimes (like this year) Easter is the same Sunday. The difference that appears comes from the fact that the Orthodox churches, when calculating the date for Easter, use an old calendar. There are discussions now, within the Orthiodox church, for standardising this date
